Best things in life are free

In this computer age of spam and unwanted messages from email marketing software it can be easy to forget that some freebies should be welcomed and are actually a good thing.

Testers of perfumes and face care products can still be found in many women’s magazines, but they’re not exactly free if you’ve had to shell out three or four quid to buy the publication in the first place!

There are, however, lots of websites you can sign up to which will keep you informed of the genuine freebies that are out there. You might have to send off an email to take part in the deal or provide a code (usually given to you by the staff at the website!) but in return you’ll get a small sample of whatever the product is; anything from face wash or moisturiser to new food products and even books.

Getting a freebie sample sent to your home is much better than trying out a product in store through the testers they have there. After all, you don’t really get much of an idea how a product will work on your skin, and fit in with your daily skin care routine, by using it once, and probably after you’ve already applied your own face wash/cleanser/moisturiser.

By getting a sample sent to your home, you can use it in your daily routine – try out a face wash or face mask, use a moisturiser after you’ve washed and cleansed. You get a much better idea if the product is the one for you and it means you’re less likely to end up with half used tubs of products that you bought and then found that they didn’t really work with your skin. I know that’s what my bathroom looks like!
